孩子在學習英文上有困難,是否有英文讀寫障礙?有什麼方法可以幫助他呢?
香港有甄別英文讀寫障礙的工具嗎?

讀寫障礙是一種最常見的特殊學習困難,根據香港一項研究 (Chan, Ho, Tsang, Lee & Chung, 2006) 顯示,約有10%小學生有讀寫障礙,很多在學前階段已出現相關徵狀。以幼稚園一班30名兒童推算,當中有2至3名將來或會出現不同程度的讀寫障礙。雖然不能透過藥物去根治問題,但只要及早識別,家長和老師能耐心協助,孩子都可以有效學習。

部份有英文讀寫障礙的兒童最常見的情況是需要花很多時間認讀字母,但很快忘記,字形相近的又常常混淆,寫字時會左右倒轉,閱讀時有跳字或跳行的情況,溫習和做讀寫作業時需時很久,常訴說疲倦和發脾氣。本講座旨在協助家長和老師了解和辦識英文讀寫困難,並提出實際可行的方法,提升兒童的學習能力和興趣。
