Privacy Policy and Personal Data Collection Statement

1.  Privacy Valuation 

The Information Gateway for Carers (hereinafter referred to as the "Gateway") values the protection of personal data and commits to processing such data in accordance with the provisions of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Chapter 486 of the laws.

 

2. Data Collection, Recording, and Analysis

The Gateway employs “Google Analytics” and records the number of times users visit the Gateway, but it does not collect any information that could identify users. The browsing records are only used to compile statistical reports and investigate computer system issues, which helps us improve the Gateway's service.

 

3. User Consent

By providing personal data through the Gateway, users indicate their agreement and acceptance of the terms outlined in this statement (please read all terms of this statement carefully).

 

4. Types of Personal Data Collected, Stored, and Used

The Gateway may invite users to voluntarily provide personal information during the use of the Gateway for various reasons and at different times. This information may include names, telephone numbers, mailing addresses, or email addresses. When the Gateway invites users to provide information, it will specify the purpose and use of collecting the data and will inform users how they can request access to, or corrections of the personal data provided.

 

5. Care Needs and Assessment

Upon completing and submitting care needs and assessment, users agree that the assessment records are stored in the Gateway’s system with ensured security and encryption, not to be disclosed to third parties without proper authorization.

 

6. Cookies

The Gateway may use cookies to record users' activities and preferences while navigating the Gateway. Cookies are small text files that can be permanently stored on a user’s computer but are harmless. Users may disable these cookies, which may affect their browsing experience on the Gateway.

 

7. Personal Data Protection

The Gateway prioritizes the security of users' personal data and implements safety measures to safeguard such information. We will not disclose users’ personal data to any external organizations without user consent or unless required by law. The Information Gateway uses SSL and TLS protocols to encrypt sensitive data transmitted between servers and clients.
