衛生署沙田區長者健康外展分隊護士透過講座與區內護老者及長者講解認知障礙症成因、預防方法及照顧者注意事項。加強護老者及長者對認知障礙症的認識，從而讓照顧者更理解患者，協助家庭溝通。
